The Swiss Cancer League – Putting People First

The Swiss Cancer League is a national organization that advises, supports, and informs people with cancer and their loved ones.

The Cancer League is committed to cancer prevention and early detection, to promoting independent research, and to supporting people with cancer and their families. It conducts nationwide information and prevention campaigns, including on breast and skin cancer, and works with partner organizations to promote tobacco prevention and healthy nutrition.

In addition, the Cancer League offers training and continuing education for professionals and publishes specialized literature and informational brochures on various cancer-related topics.

The Cancer League is a federation made up of 18 cantonal and regional cancer leagues and the umbrella organization, the Swiss Cancer League. It has been in existence for over 110 years and is primarily funded through donations.
